St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Little Friends Preschool is getting ready for its eighth annual fish fry dinner and, so far, the response has been extremely positive from the community.
“We’ve already sold 50 more plates this year than last,” Rachel Colley, co-director of Little Friends said. “That doesn’t mean people cannot still order tickets or drive up.
“We have always have a lot of extra plates ready to go the night of the event for anyone who hasn’t already bought a plate.”
The fundraiser, which is the biggest of the year for Little Friends, will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the school and the money will go straight to the school.
“This year we are hoping to purchase new playground equipment with the money raised from the fundraiser,” Colley said.
Plate tickets are $8 and will be served with two fish fillets, hush puppies, cole slaw, French fries and two brownies.
“We have a bunch of parents who come back to help out,” Colley said. “Eric Haugen is a former parent whose children have been gone for three or four years now and he helps us with everything.”
