Updated forecasts call for the expected severe weather to be in the Dallas County area after 4 p.m. There remains a moderate chance for tornado activity and high winds.

Officials with the Dallas County Emergency Management Agency have said Dallas County is still expected to receive severe weather, but the timeline has shifted throughout the day as forecasters work to narrow down times. They now expect the best chance to be after 4 p.m., with it more likely rolling through between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Earlier in the day, meteorologists had forecasts severe weather to be in the Dallas County after 3 p.m., but have fine-tuned that forecast throughout the day.

The area most public safety officials are most concerned about is north Dallas County, which was heavily impacted by a severe weather system that hit on Friday, April 15.

Officials with the Selma Fire Department, Dallas County Department of Public Health and other agencies have met at least three times Wednesday with meteorologists with the National Weather Service via a conference call.
