Dr. Ardith Ann “Ardy” McLafferty, 59, died August 20, 2011, in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of Dr. Charles L. McLafferty and the late Dee Hartmann McLafferty of Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Ardy graduated from A. G. Parrish High School in Selma, Alabama. She graduated Cum Laude with Honors from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and received her Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
She is survived by a sister, Dr. Karen M. Foust (Clyde), of Thibodaux, Louisiana; a brother, Dr. Charles L. McLafferty, Jr. (Debra), of Homewood, Alabama; nieces, Laura K. Foust, of Maeystown, Illinois, and Clair E. McLafferty of Homewood, Alabama; and a nephew, Patrick K. Foust of Thibodaux, Louisiana. She was predeceased by a brother, Kevin P. McLafferty, of Orangeburg.
Dukes-Harley Funeral Home, Orangeburg, South Carolina, is in charge of the arrangements.
