Local golfers are preparing to hit the green and tee up for a cause on Monday.

Mayor George Evans’ Charity Golf Classic will be held Monday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. at Valley Grande Golf Course.

Golfers from local businesses and organizations will participate, and their donations will go toward benefitting the special needs children of Dallas County.

The mayor’s three-on-three golf classic is co-sponsored by Valley Grande Mayor Tom Lee and Probate Judge Kim Ballard.

The golf classic was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday, Nov. 16, but was rescheduled to inclement weather.
