Representatives of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department were still gathering details Tuesday in relation to an incident that saw Zachary Hatch, 16, arrested on charges of first degree rape.

Hatch, District Attorney Michael Jackson said, was taken into custody for allegedly raping his sister and will be tried as an adult.

It is still unknown when he will make his first court appearance.

Hatch, whose address was listed as 10668 County Road 37 in Valley Grande, could appear before the judge as early as Wednesday, Jackson said.

The victim, who was Hatch’s 15-year-old sister, was not identified.

Hatch was released on $30,000 bond.
