“I am delighted to be working with Gail and the new board members,” Smedley said.
Lovelady is the founder of Town & Country Real Estate Of Selma, LLC.
Lovelady joins the executive committee of the Centre for Commerce, which includes vice chairman Ed Livingston, secretary Connie Messer and treasurer Andy Stewart.
Lovelady said she’s excited to be working with a lot of dedicated people within the EDA and the Chamber of Commerce.
“Ann Love, who’s the center administrator and the EDA project manager, she does a great job of getting out information for us,” Lovelady said. “You can’t say enough about Sheryl Smedley. She gets out there and you see her all over Selma working to help the community have a better quality of life and helping our members with different events and programs that we have got coming. And Candace Johnson, who is our tourism director, does a fantastic job of recruiting tourists for our city and she works hand in hand with the city.”
Lovelady said overall she’s excited about the staff of people she gets to work with and it’s great to have all the organizations in one place.
“I’m real pleased with our staff and what we are doing and I think that it is a very good thing that the center is under one hub,” Lovelady said. “We’re planning on a lot of good things this year for the members to be active.”
