Vaughan’s Human Resources department has been conducting a hospital-wide survey to ensure employees have the opportunity to give their feedback on the issue. The survey will end Feb.3.

Keel said the decision to go tobacco-free is not an attempt to force anyone to quit using tobacco products.

“Rather, the tobacco-free initiative is a concrete way we can demonstrate our ongoing commitment to provide a healthy environment for our employees, patients and visitors, as well as promote a healthy living,” Keel said.
