Those who missed out on signups for the Yellow Dot Program through the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department will have another chance Saturday morning.
Fairview Baptist Church will welcome anyone who wants to participate, starting at 9 a.m. and will have volunteers on hand to assist in putting on decals.
The program was launched in Dallas County last summer and received solid turnout at each event. Due to requests from the public, additional signups have been scheduled since the initial launch date.
During the kickoff program, Dallas County EMA director Rhonda Abbott said the Yellow Dot program has the potential to save lives for those who participate.
“It can actually be your voice in a situation where you can’t speak for yourself,” she said. “More importantly, it can be a tool for first responders that can save your life.”
