Greene County Board of Education Career Tech director Dr. Rhinnie Scott said career tech programs are the answer in today’s school systems.
“We have to make sure that everyone is aware of what career technical education really is,” Scott said. “If people in high school knew what they wanted to do, as far as a career, they’d fair better.”
Dennis Duncan of Bibb County Career Academy said technical careers make a difference.
“There are a lot of kids with four-year degrees that can’t find jobs because they have no skills,” Duncan said. “I think together, we can really make a difference.”
