Stallworth case to proceed

During the preliminary trial, Armstrong said he had heard enough evidence to feel the case should be decided by a grand jury and should not be dismissed.
“I will let the grand jury make the decision,” he said. “I’m not going to second guess this unless it is slam dunk clear. It’s not slam dunk clear.”
Wooten argued there was no serious physical injury that included the threat of death, disfigurement or impaired movement of the body or his organs. However, the prosecution argued the witness sustained serious injuries to the head and right eye.
The incident is reported to have taken place at Club 9000, though Wooten said the testimony given by a rival gang member placed Jarron at the scene, which is not an unbiased opinion.
Stallworth has been held on $1.5 million bond since his arrest.
Jarron was initially set to appear for a bond hearing in June, but Wooten requested a continuance to prepare.
