In her spare time, Jones said she has taken up crocheting.

“I go to the library … two days a week for two hours a day, and it’s hard to get someone to teach me how to crochet because I’m left-handed,” Jones said. “I’m trying to learn crochet, been taking it since last year. I’ve always wanted to learn crochet — my grandmother used to try to teach me how.”

A widow, Jones has three adult children Mike, Donny and Penny, six biological and four step-grandchildren.

“You might as well say I’ve got 10,” Jones said chuckling.
