Bust nets drugs

Riley said marijuana was also found in the apartment, on the person of several of the suspects and in a vehicle parked at the residence that belonged to one of the suspects. Though the drugs were still being processed and an exact weight had not been established Tuesday afternoon, Riley said there was a significant amount of marijuana confiscated.
“One of the suspects had almost an ounce on him when he was arrested,” Riley said. “That’s the type of weights we were dealing with.”
Riley said the area has not been a nuisance before, which made it even more encouraging that someone was willing to call in when they saw a problem.
This, Riley said, sends a positive message.
“This will continue, and it tells us that the citizens are behind us because they are calling,” he said. “We had the bust last week and told citizens they need to be on the lookout, and that’s a good thing. That’s what we want citizens to do.”
