Caver led the Lady Saints with 15 points, while senior Jasmine Peeples added 14 points, and Jackson had 11 points. McPherson led the Lions with 12 points. The Lady Saints take the floor at Wallace again on Thursday when they’ll host the Class 5A Area 5 tournament, with their game being against Greenville at 7:30 p.m.

The Lions will host the Class 2A Area 5 tournament on Thursday, as they’ll play Goshen at 7 p.m.

Trent Woodley, head coach of the Lions, said his team will bounce back in the area tournament if it plays together.

“I expect our team to play better defense and play good, team-oriented ball,” Woodley said. “If we play good team ball as a group, we should win.”
