“It’s an effort to teach my students not to just take … when you’re blessed, you share,” Burk said. “We’re giving back to the community, by thanking businesses (and) … what better way to do that than through the youth? It’s a win-win, everyone benefits from this.”
The class is available on a first-come, first serve basis. Interested applicants must call 872-8033 to register by Wednesday, Feb. 29. Free T-shirts will be given away to those who participate.
Burk said community support has been “overwhelming” and she desires the community to participate.
“We set goals … it exceeded my expectations,” Burk said. “We really do appreciate the support.”
