Little Lambs sale close

“After we have the sale, we (the council) have a meeting to decide who to give it (proceeds) to,” Nichols said. “We don’t always necessarily give to the same people but usually, we do.”

The Little Lamb Sale works by having sellers register their goods to be sold. Each seller will then be given a number that goes on every price tag of each item being sold. If a customer buys an item from a seller, 75 percent will then go to a seller after sales.

The remaining 25 percent of the proceeds are divvied up and given to local charities.

Nichols said the sale is a “win-win” for everyone.

“It helps so many financially,” Nichols said in a previous interview with the Times-Journal. “The public can give their unwanted clothes to the sale and then turn back around and shop.”

Those who wish to participate in the sale must register by Friday, March 9. To register, contact Misty Wilkinson at 877-1993.

This year’s sponsors include American Apparel, Blue Ox Equipment & Supply, The McHugh Wildlife, The Selma Times-Journal and Sears.

All sales are final and the program accepts cash only.
