In the first week of the season, the Lady Tigers have accumulated a 1-4-1 record, with loses Ariton, Goshen, Loveless Academy and Montgomery Catholic. Their line win came in their only home game so far this season against Billingsley last Tuesday.
The Lady Horents, who are also sporting a new mascot and logo, will play Billingsley at Billingsley Tuesday and will compete in the Calera Eagle Classic this weekend.
Dallas County’s next home game will be Monday, March 5 when they take on Wilcox-Central High School.
“We have got a lot of young, talented kids in our program and they are all new to each other,” Watson said. “For the most part, this is their first year playing together as a team and we are still working through the issues of commitment and consistency at this time.”
