The theater will show The Descendants on Friday at 4 p.m., Hugo on Saturday at 1 p.m., My Week With Marilyn Saturday at 4 p.m., Moneyball on Sunday at 2 p.m., and The Help on Sunday at 5 p.m.
The theater will wrap up the week with Midnight in Paris on Thursday, March 22 at 4 p.m.
Tickets will be $3 and includes a small popcorn and candy.
Jackson said the $3 is considered a donation that will help the theatre keep operating.
“Technically, that’s what the donation covers is the popcorn and candy,” Jackson said. “Basically, the movie is free and that $3 donation helps us pay for the staffing (and) facility cost.”
Jackson said she hopes the community supports the theater during the week because there will be a wide variety of films for everyone, including families.
“We’re just hoping people will come out and support it,” Jackson said. “It’s a great opportunity to see six of the films that were nominated in 2011 over one weekend. There’s a wide range of films from ‘My Week With Marilyn, which is rated R, to Hugo which is rated PG. Some of these films are ones our regular members have been asking for, and we’re able to present them all at one time.”
