More than a year after he allegedly killed a Selma man, shot four others and then fled to Virginia, Ronald Fitts has been indicted by a Dallas County Grand Jury.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Fitts was indicted on murder, two counts of attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault and discharging a gun into an occupied dwelling.

He remains in the Dallas County Jail under the $10 million bond first established by District Judge Bob Armstrong on Jan. 25, 2011.

“It is the worst kind of behavior in our community,” Armstrong said.
