Mr. Alex “Jake” Rose, 61, resident of Selma, passed July 8, 2012 in Selma. Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 14, 2012, 12:00 noon at New Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Tyler, AL, officiated by Pastor Octavius Bonner. Burial will follow in church cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service of Selma.

Survivors include spouse, Doris Rose; two sons, Trendell Carter and Marcus Starks; one daughter, Alicia (Marvin) Eldridge; four brothers, Joseph M. (Betty) Reeves, Thelopius Rose, Jimmy Rose, and Cecil Rose; four sisters, Carrie Hardy, Josephine Givan, Geraldine (Alex) Perryman, Rosetta (James) Hall; four grandchildren, a host of nieces, and nephews; special friend, Gloria Gamble.
