Robert Childers, Sr.,79, departed this life on December 16, 2012 at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters, and one son, Troy E. Childers.

 

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Elizabeth P. Childers, six children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, 12:00 noon at New Center Baptist Church, 3125 County Road 209, Selma, AL officiated by Rev. Labarron Thomas. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery.
