Sylvia Brown Luker

Mrs. Sylvia Brown Luker, 93 of Woodstock, formerly of Selma, Alabama died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Tranquility Hospice with family by her side following an extended illness.
She was a beloved mother and grandmother who brought joy to family and friends. Sylvia was born in Hamilton, AL on May 25, 1919 to the late James R. Brown and Martha McCarley Brown. She had been a long time resident of Selma prior to moving to Woodstock. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Selma.
In addition to her parents Sylvia is also preceded in death by her husband Cecil Andrew Luker.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law; Andrea and David Walker of Woodstock, son; Kenneth Luker of Selma, AL, grandchildren, Christian Luker and his wife Jackie, Allison Walker Woods and her husband Jim, great grandchildren; Jason Camp, Amanda Camp and Sebastian Luker, Rillian Woods, Angus Woods, great great granddaughter; Charleigh Luker, brother and sister-in-law; Duward and Peggy Brown, sisters-in-law; Mary Ann, Mae and Nell, other relatives and loving friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, February 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Lakeside Funeral Home with Dr. William H. Camp officiating. Interment services will be 3:00 pm Monday, February 11, 2013 at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, AL. with Rev Guy Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lakeside Funeral Home.
