Mrs. Marie Coleman Ramsey Anderson

Mrs. Marie Coleman Ramsey Anderson, a loving wife to the late McNair Ramsey Sr. and the late Mr. Joseph L. Anderson. She was loving mother, and friend. She was born April 17, 1922 to the late Mr. Willie (PaPa) and the late Mrs. Minder (MaMa) Coleman in Gees Bend, Alabama. She departed this life on March 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at her home.
Mrs. Anderson was gifted in many areas: she was an excellent cook and felt that it if her cooked meals could not cure you, you couldn’t be cured. She worked for and raised the Weatherbees and Norman children. She was an excellent seamstress, and learned from her mother how to make quilts. She went to school at night in Selma, AL, where she received her degree in Cosmetology and was a hairstylist for many years. She worked for the Department of Human Resources in Camden, AL for 24 years and retired in 1993. Mrs. Anderson was a soldier for the civil rights Movement of Camden and Wilcox Co., AL and was honored by many for her support of Civil Rights. She was a warrior in the army of the Lord and did whatever she could to support the ministries of the church. Her faith in Jesus and her love for people speak for her.
Services were held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Camden, AL
