Sarah Lynn Nichols, born November 1, 1945 in Montgomery, AL to William Glenn and Flora Rachel [Bierd] Crossley, passed away October 11, 2013 in Gilbert, AZ at the age of 67 with her sister by her side. Sarah was a humble, easy to please woman who had a heart of gold. Known as “sister” to family and friends, Sarah never met a stranger. If you had just met her, you would be a friend. Sarah had a love for animals that would not quit; if given the chance, she would have her home filled with animals. However, nothing brought her more joy than her family. Sarah is survived by her son Joe (Lana) Little; Nick, Mike, Tim and Darryll Nichols and daughter Sue Nichols Rutherford; her sister Rebecca “Becky” (Anthony) Donatelli; brothers William G. Crossley Jr. and Joseph Crossley; grandchildren, William A. Sims, Allen M. Floyd, J. Caleb Floyd, Anna and Lara Little, all who referred to her as “Granny” as well as number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Audrey Lynn Nichols and husband Autrey E. “Buddy” Nichols. A Funeral Mass will be held at _9:30_am, _October 15th, 2013_at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, in Tempe, AZ, where she was a member. Sarah will be interred, with her late husband “Buddy” at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South in Hoover, AL.
