Mildred Kane Crews, 91, of Prattville, Alabama, formerly of Selma, Alabama, died Sunday, April 20, 2914.  She was born in Thomaston, Alabama and later married to Joe Rex Crews of Uniontown, Alabama.  She was a homemaker most of her life; however, she was also a Nurse Assistant for over 20 years at Dunn’s Rest Home in Selma. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Orrville, Alabama where she was baptized in 1962.  Mildred is survived by 3 sons, Joe M. Crews (Paula) of Tuscumbia, Alabama, James R. Crews (Linda) of Pell City, Alabama and Sam N. Crews of Prattville, Alabama; 3 grandchildren, Mark, Beverly and Jimmy; 8 great grandchildren, Dalton, Emily, Sarah, Elizabeth, David, Jessie, Jenna and Tori.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 AM at Ridout’s Prattville Chapel with Marc Crews, Cliff Sheehan, Billy Green, Pearce Cain, Robbie Culp and Joe Sallee serving as pallbearers. Burial  followed at Pine View Memorial Gardens in Selma at 1:30 PM.  The family requests memorial contribution to be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
