John Ross Bone led Morgan Academy to a 60-43 victory over Jackson Academy Thursday night in the first game of the Senators’ basketball season.

Bone scored 22 points to pace the Trojans, but he had plenty of help. Woodham Kemmer added 13 points and Tyler Bush contributed 13 rebounds.

Luke Lankford led Jackson Academy with 15 points in the game.

Morgan Academy led 12-9 after the first quarter, 26-16 at halftime, 46-33 after three quarters and outscored their opponents 14-10 over the final period. Morgan Academy’s first home game is Nov. 18 against Tuscaloosa Academy.
