Residents should expect closings and delays in the coming days, as many Selma businesses will have varying operating hours for Thanksgiving.

The Selma City Court House and Selma City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday and will resume normal business hours on Monday, Dec. 1.

The Selma Public Works Department will be closed Thursday and Friday, and will reopen Monday, Dec 1. Trash pick up will resume on Monday, and trash not collected on Thursday and Friday will be collected the following Thursday, Dec. 4 and Friday Dec. 5.

Advanced Disposal will only be closed on Thursday, and will open on Friday. Trash pick up will be a day behind for its customers regularly scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Pick ups normally scheduled for Thursday will be Friday, and those scheduled for Friday will be Saturday. Normal business operations will resume on Monday, Dec. 1.

The Selma City Post Office will be closed Thursday, and will reopen on Friday at its normal time.

First Cahawba Bank and Craig Credit Union will both be closed on Thursday, and will close at 1 p.m. on Friday. Normal hours will resume on Monday, Dec. 1.

Trustmark Bank, Riverdale Credit Union, Wells Fargo Bank and Regions Bank will all be closed on Thursday and will reopen under normal operating hours on Friday.
