Sirens will be tested Tuesday

The Dallas County Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency will conduct a monthly test of outdoor warning sirens Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.
The tests are necessary to ensure all systems are working like they should, said Rhonda Abbott with the Dallas County DHS/EMA.
“The sirens are designed to be audible to people that are outdoors. A weather radio should be used inside to alert you of severe weather,” Abbot said.
The public is not expected to take any action during the tests. All sirens have been repaired and should sound Tuesday, Abbott said.
The tests will continue the first Tuesday of every month between 10 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
If the threat of severe weather exists on testing dates, then the test will occur the following Wednesday. Severe weather is not expected Tuesday morning.
