Selma Police Department officers responded Tuesday night to the 1200 block of Atlee Avenue in reference to a robbery. When they arrived, officers spoke to the victim, a 71-year-old woman, who said three male suspects came to her home and knocked on the door.
When she opened the door, one of the suspects pointed a gun at her and told her to, “Give it up,” according to Lt. Curtis Muhannad with the Selma Police Department. According to the woman, the suspects pushed her to the floor, while one of them grabbed her purse, making off with $1,200.
The suspects were wearing masks and only had their eyes exposed, according to Muhannad.
The Selma Police Department is asking anyone with information about the case to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-442-7463. Calls will remain confidential and could result in a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
