Letter thanks paper for good morning picture

Dear editor,
Yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to see Christa Reese’s picture in the “Good Morning to” section of the Selma Times-Journal!
I met Christa at the quilt square workshop for the Unity Quilt at St. Paul’s last Saturday.
We talked and she always had that winning smile that was captured in the newspaper picture.
I believe the Unity March on March 1 is a good thing for Selma. I have wanted to participate in such a march for about three years, since I first was introduced to the idea.
The idea of walking from the east side of the bridge into downtown Selma bringing unity into Selma is both humbling and exciting.
The quilt will be carried in that March.
Do ask your church to come and join us! I hope to see Christa there and talk to her again. “…How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life for evermore.” (from Psalm 133)
