Selma University baseball sweeps Lane

The Selma University baseball team finished its regular season Monday with a three game sweep of Lane College.
The Bulldogs won game one 19-13 behind big days at the plate from Deshun Bolling, Daryl Watkins and Travis Jean.
Bolling hit a home run and went 2-for-4, Watkins was 3-for-3 with a double and two stolen bases and Jean was 3-for-4 with a triple and three runs scored.
Tremayne Hopps also hit a double and inside the park home run in the game.
In game two, there was a tad more defense. Selma University won 8-3 behind pitcher Shane Jeffcoat’s complete game and 11 strikeouts.
Keifer Kilcrease and C.J. Jones led the way at the plate. Both players went 3-for-4 and Jones had two doubles.
Selma completed the sweep with a 9-7 victory in game three. Ryan Lewis went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Watkins had a double, triple and 2 RBIs.
Edwin Solivan pitched a complete game and struck out seven.
The wins moved Selma University to 15-10 on the season.
