The Morgan Academy golf team finished sixth overall Tuesday at the Alabama Independent School Association championships at Troy Country Club.

The Senators shot 703 in two rounds for a total of 135-over. Lee-Scott Academy won the competition by 46 shots with a final score of 17-over.

The highest finishing Senators’ player in the individual competition was Jones Free in 18th overall at 21-over. Gus Colvin finished 23-over and finished in 20th place.

Other Senators in the competition included Sam Brackin, who finished 38-over and finished 34th, Jackson Pearce who finished 61st overall at 62-over and Allen Todd, who finished in 65th place at 69-over.

Lee-Scott’s David Thompson won the competition as the only player under par at 9-under.
