Bruce Addington

Bruce Addington, 89, died June 7, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday., June 20, 2015, at Pine Valley Christian Church.

Bruce was raised on a farm outside Altoona, Kansas. He left the farm in 1943 to become a Naval aviator. His love of aviation resulted in a 23 year career with Beech Aircraft Corp., including eight years as plant manager of the Beech Aircraft Selma facility at Craig Field.

As a flight instructor, Bruce taught many people to fly and provided thousands of hours of flight instruction.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jackie; son, Chris (Susan); daughter, Lisa Deeds (Richard); sister, Lynda Newland; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
