The admission cost will be donation of a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Selma Area Food Bank. The Fun Fest will take place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the college’s student center.
The only downside Saturday might be the hot temperature, which is supposed to near the 100 degree mark.
Michael’s mother Thomasene Johnson, who helped organize the Fun Fest, said the student center at WCCS has air conditioning and those in attendance will be able to get in there to cool down.
Plus, water and Gatorade will be available.
“We have prepared for the heat,” Thomasene said. “We are going to make sure everybody stays hydrated and make sure nobody gets overheated and because we have air conditioning, they can come in and get some relief.”
The event will include food, music, bouncy houses, face paining and many games.
Children in attendance will be also be able to take pictures with Michael during the Fun Fest.
