MONROEVILLE — Khamari Gibbs threw four touchdowns for Southside (1-3, 0-2), but it wasn’t enough to beat Monroe County (1-2, 1-1) Friday as the Panthers fell 40-27 in a Class 4A, Region 1 game.
Southside’s Delundra Edwards led the Panthers receivers with 90 yards two receiving touchdowns. De’Quan Johnson and Gerquialius Fails added a touchdown.
“We need to focus on the small things the fundamentals. That’s the only thing we can work on is fundamentals because that’s what got us beat,” head coach Daniel Flowers said.
Southside’s next game is at home against Thomasville Friday at 7 p.m.
