Lee Ester Griffin Sr.

Lee Ester Griffin Sr., known to all who loved him as “Lee” was born May 26, 1955, in Sardis to Mr. and Mrs. Charlie and Laura Griffin Sr.

He received his education in the Selma Public School System.

He worked at Rhyne Turf Farm for several years and took pride in his work.

He is preceded by both his parents; his step-mother, Minnie; six brothers, Charlie Jr., Peter, Adolph, Lorenzo, Otis and Carl; two sisters, Juanita and Mary; and great-granddaughter, Skylar.

He is survived by three sons, Michael, Lee Ester Jr. and Demetrius; five brothers, Henry (Ethel) Griffin of Chesapeake, Virginia, Albert of New York, Clarence (Geneva) Griffin of Roswell, Georgia, James Griffin and Anthony both of Sardis; six sisters, Mary Ellen Lawrence of Chesapeake, Virginia, Betty (Charlie) Lawrence of Norfolk, Virginia, Margaret (Joe) Washington of Winterhaven, Florida, Quinder (William) Stanford of Orlando, Florida, Shelly (Melvin) Mayhan and Loretta (Connel) Towns of Selma; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and a very special friend Viola.
