Football season is over halfway over, but Concordia College Alabama (0-6) is still looking for its first win of the season.

The Hornets have squandered second half leads against Stillman College and Lane College and allowed another close game against Alcorn State to turn into a laugher in the third quarter.

“You win when you are supposed to win,” said Concordia head coach Stanley Conner.

“There’s still a whole lot of things we have to work on, things we’ve got to get right and that’s what we are going to work to do. We are going to work to do things right on and off the field, and we believe it will come together.”

The Hornets are hoping it starts coming together Saturday at Memorial Stadium against Tiffin University (4-2) when Concordia celebrates homecoming.

Tiffin is led by quarterback Pipkin Antonio, who has thrown 13 touchdowns and thrown for 1,737 yards. His top receiving threats are Pedro Correa and Charles Holland, who both have over 30 catches on the season and have combined for nine touchdowns.

“They are a pretty good team,” Conner said.

“They lost to one of the top teams in their conference, Findlay, who has won several national championships. Tiffin has a great program.”

The Hornets come in off of a bye following an 11-0 loss to Ave Maria where they managed only 143 yards and nine first downs offensively.  Concordia totaled -1 rushing yards after sacks were added in.

Kickoff is at 1 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
