Integrity race makes difference across world

In perfect weather Saturday, hundreds of runners took to the streets in support of Integrity Worldwide’s Run for Kenya.
Plenty of Selma residents but others from across the country participated in Integrity’s 5K, 10K or 1-mile runs.
We have written much in the past about the work Integrity Worldwide is doing in Kenya.
The registration from past races helped villages around Meto, Kenya.
In other years, runs have gone to dig wells in rural and disadvantaged villages. This year’s funds will go toward building a medical clinic.
Integrity hoped to raise $80,000 through the event and although finalized numbers aren’t quite in, organizers say there are very close to that number.
Selma, both individuals who ran and businesses who offered their sponsorship, should be proud of that feat and the difference this community is making across the world.
