Dixie Flips compete in Fliptanic Invitational

The Dixie Flips Gymnastics Team traveled to Tuscaloosa to compete in the Fliptanic Invitational hosted by the Tuscaloosa Tumbling Tides on Oct. 17-18. The meet consisted of levels 1 through 5. Teams from all over the state competed.
The weekend kicked off for the Dixie Flips on Saturday with the team’s only level four, Evey Craig. She competed in the Jr. A division and placed seventh on vault, bars and beam, sixth on floor and seventh in all-around.
The level three gymnasts competed next. In Jr. A division Jaden McGee placed sixth on vault, first on bars, fourth on beam, third on floor, and third in all-around. Brooke Egbert placed eighth on vault, fifth on bars, fourth on beam, fifth on floor, and fifth in all-around. Cameran Duncan placed fourth on vault, third on bars, seventh on beam, eighth on floor, and sixth in all-around.
Keenan Lee McHugh placed fourth on vault, eighth on bars, sixth on beam, seventh on floor, and eighth in all-around.
Ruth Stevens, Jr.C age division placed seventh on vault, fifth on bars, sixth on beam, eighth on floor and sixth in all-around. The level three gymnasts won the fourth place team trophy for their session.
The level two gymnasts competed on Sunday. In age division Jr. A Madalyn Stevens placed fourth on vault, third on bars, second on beam, second on floor and second in all-around. Addie Fancher placed second on vault, sixth on bars, third on beam, fifth on floor and fifth in all-around.
The Jr. B division saw Molly Bohannon placing fifth on vault, fifth on bars, second on beam, third on floor, and third in all-around. Alyssa McCloud placed sixth on vault, third on Bars, third on beam, third on floor, and third in all-around. Hadley Verhoff placed first on vault, sixth on bars, fifth on beam, fifth on floor, and sixth in all-around.
Shyana Montor in the Sr. A division placed fifth on vault, fourth on bars, fourth on beam, first on floor, and fourth in all-around.
The level two team brought home the second place team trophy.
The team will return to Tuscaloosa in November to compete in the Bama Rama meet.
