Selma leaders hope residents will complete a survey to gauge what they like about Selma and what could be done better.
Starting Friday, the survey was launched online. Copies are also available at Selma City Hall.
Mayor George Evans encourages everyone to complete the Performance Accountability Survey.
“We want to give every citizen a direct voice in city government,” Evans said. “The survey will give citizens a chance to grade us on our current performance and to provide city leaders a clear directive on what we need to focus on to make Selma better. I encourage every citizen to complete the survey.”
The survey can be completed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/selmaalabama.
Evans said anyone without Internet access can complete the survey at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library.
Paper copies are also available at Selma City Hall and the library. Completed surveys should be taken to the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall.
Everyone who completes the survey will be entered to win a $50 gift card. One gift card will be awarded in each of the city’s wards.
The results of the survey will be published on the city of Selma’s website and will be given to local media.
Mark Peterson’s company Ceyero Consulting will analyze the data and provide a report to the city. The city will pay Ceyero Consulting $2,500 for their work.
For more information about the survey, contact Peterson at (404) 915-0048 or email mpeter1896@ceyero.com.
