Roundup: Selma girls stay unbeaten in area play

Eleven different players scored as Selma (8-1) defeated Chilton 56-12 Tuesday night.

Jacquetta Dailey led the way with 11 points for the Saints, who moved to 2-0 in class 6A, area 6 play with the win. Selma led 32-0 at halftime.

The Saints will play again Friday against Wilcox Central.

Morgan Academy 63, 

Clarke Prep 36 (Boys)

Jackson Henderson scored 17 points to lead Morgan Academy (2-2) past Clarke Prep 63-36 Monday night.

Sawyer Hopkins chipped in nine points while Jay Creech, Woodham Kemmer, Caleb Pitts and Colton Roberts each scored seven apiece in the win.

Terrence Wilson led Morgan on the boards with five rebounds and helped the Senators outrebound Clarke Prep 27-17.

Despite the win, Morgan is still battling turnover issues. The Senators gave the ball away 29 times Monday.
