Mrs. Queen Ester Coats Smith, 94, passed away Jan. 6, 2016, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma.

Services are scheduled for Jan. 16 at noon at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Selfield) with pastor Kirk Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in Lorenzo Harrison Memorial Gardens with Randall Miller Funeral Service directing. She is survived by one son, Joe Lewis Coats; three brothers, John Henry Coats, Ocie Lee Coats, John Hood Coats; two sisters, Mary Frances Washington and Johnnie Mae Seino; nine grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 31 great-great grandchildren; one sister-in-law; and host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
