Gordon H. Gibbs, age 81, a resident of Selma, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 22 at 1 p.m. in Selmont Church of Christ Church in Selmont with minister Ray Winton, minister Byron Gibbs and minister Derek Gibbs officiating. Committal services will be held at 4 p.m. in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Troy with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 22 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Gibbs is survived by his wife, Audrey Gibbs of Selma; two sons, Derek Gibbs (Hannah) of Lebanon, Oregon and Byron Gibbs (Cassie) of Gallatin, Tennessee; one brother, Everett Gibbs (Nell Rose) of Tracy City, Tennessee; two sisters, Dola Shrum (Ray) of Tracy City, Tennessee and Marlee Nunley (John) of Sewanee, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Joann Gibbs, of Martin, Georgia; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Geretha and Jimmy Ingram of Troy; six grandchildren, Luke Gibbs, Jacob Gibbs, Jonathan Gibbs, Devri Gibbs, Lydia Gibbs and Emilyn Gibbs; several nieces, nephews and other family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Selmont Church of Christ, Southern Care Hospice or Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
