A task force organized in part by district attorney Michael Jackson arrested a man Thursday that was allegedly involved in a shooting on Valentine’s Day.
Ricky Suttles, 26, was arrested Thursday by the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force.
“It just shows you what happens when all these different law enforcement agencies work together what can be accomplished,” Jackson said ”Things are a lot quieter now.”
Suttles was charged with first-degree assault, probation violation and discharging a firearm into an occupied building and given a $1 million bond, according to Jackson. He is currently being held at the Dallas County Jail, Jackson said.
Authorities wanted Suttles for a shooting at the Grown and Sexy club on Feb. 14 that left 62-year-old Joseph Mack injured.
Jackson said Suttles will appear in court next week for a hearing.
The task force has also arrested 28-year-old Kenyada Dukes and 26-year-old Daryl Johnson, known gang members in the GWC Homes area.
Jackson said the operations have been very successful.
“I think it is very important to the community that all these Selma’s most wanted are being rounded up and arrested,” Jackson said. “So the citizens can start feeling safe again.”
