The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department has arrested four juveniles in connection to a string of burglaries in Valley Grande.
The suspects, ages 16 to 17, are currently being held at the juvenile detention center facing third-degree burglary charges. None of the suspect’s identities were released since they are all juveniles.
“We anticipate five more arrests,” said Sgt. John Hatfield. “All being juveniles.”
Items including guns, electronics and jewelry were stolen from four residences over Sunday, April 17 and Monday, April 18, according to authorities.
None of the stolen items had been recovered as of Monday afternoon.
Chief Deputy Randy Pugh said community involvement helped move the investigation forward and lead to the arrests.
“With the community involvement we were able to [make arrests],” Pugh said. “When the community gets involved, you can do a lot of things. It sure makes our job a lot easier. We do appreciate all the community involvement, and we hope to get their property back.”
