Clara Evelyn Ballard, 89, of Selma, passed away July 20, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dorres Jackson Etheridge and Parham B. Ballard; parents, Acie B. and Clara Rainwater; brothers, Chester B. Rainwater, Bill Rainwater and Lester Rainwater; and sister, Marie Parker.

Surviving are her children, David B. (Peggy) Etheridge, Ronnie C. (Janet) Etheridge and Thomas J. “T.J” (Barbara) Etheridge; sister Frankie (A. C.) Crane; brother, Malcolm (Patti) Rainwater; grandchildren, Kerry (Allen) Henderson, Scott (Melanie) Etheridge, Ashley (Daniel) Roberts, Rhonda (Sam) Brown and Brandon (Lisa) Etheridge; and great-grandchildren, Kinley Etheridge, Colbie Etheridge, Jackson Henderson, Gunnar Henderson, Cade Henderson, Brayton Brown, Bailey Brown, Kayleigh Grace Etheridge, Jonathan Etheridge, Alex Parten, Shane Parten, Colton Roberts and Brody Roberts.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 22 at 11 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with brother Keith Chandler officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jackson Henderson, Colton Roberts, Brayton Brown, Brody Roberts, Gunnar Henderson, Jonathan Etheridge, Brandon Etheridge and Scott Etheridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Cutler, Johnny Harris and James Crane.
