“She played an awesome game, the best game I’ve seen her play,” Mason said. “We received the ball well and set the ball well.”

Regan Hewitt had five kills and Cassidy Lawrence added 12 assists.

The Senators also defeated East Memorial Christian on Friday. Morgan lost its opener to Tuscaloosa in three sets, but all three sets were very close. Two of the three sets went to a tiebreaker.

The Senators play at Hooper Academy Tuesday  and at Marengo Academy on Thursday.

Morgan’s junior varsity team improved to 3-0 on the season by beating Lowndes in two sets. The JV has not lost a set this year.
