Jeremy Lee scored twice and Chris Wilson added a touchdown, but Meadowview Christian didn’tn have an answer for the Clay County Christian Academy offense Friday night.
The Trojans trailed by two touchdowns at halftime and lost pace during a one-sided second half. Clay County won big 53-20 to send Meadowview to 0-2 on the season.
“Every time we got back in the game, we’d fumble or throw an interception,” said Meadowview coach Lebo Jones. “We just had a bad night.”
Lee ran a kickoff back and also ran for a touchdown.
Wilson scored on a touchdown run of his own, but the Trojans needed a lot more help offensively.
“They ran the ball and we couldn’t stop them,” Jones said. “We went back and forth there for a while but in the 6-man game they onside kicked it every time and they recovered three of them. Every time we got momentum, we’d shoot ourselves in the foot.”
Meadowview Christian has a bye week Friday and will play at Chilton Christian on Sept. 9.
