Win or lose, it was already going to be an early night for the Meadowview Christian football team. The Trojans played at Chilton Christian, where there aren’t any lights on the field, so Friday’s game started at 5 p.m.
Meadowview’s starters must’ve decided that wasn’t quite early enough.
The Trojans (1-2) rolled past Chilton 69-12 and led 48-6 at halftime, meaning many of Meadowview’s reserves got to play the second half.
“Everything was clicking tonight offensively and defensively,” said Meadowview Christian coach Lebo Jones. “Everybody got to play a lot.”
Jeremy Lee accounted for 156 yards and five rushing touchdowns. He also threw for 69 yards and a touchdown.
Jon Ryan Szymanski added a rushing and receiving touchdown. Zack Duke had 69 yards rushing and a touchdown.
The Trojans will play at New Life Christian next week.
