ORRVILLE — It’s hard to beat a team three times, a lesson the Keith girls’ basketball team learned the hard way on Friday night against R.C. Hatch.  The Bobcats topped the Bears 48-40 to win the class 2A, area 7 championship and will host a sub-regional game next week against Southern Choctaw. Keith (10-13) will have to go on the road against Choctaw County.

“It was a competitive game all the way through,” said Keith coach Cecil Williams. “They went up on us by 12, we got within two or three and we made some turnovers and they got some breaks on us. It’s kind of hard working from behind.”

The Bears were led by Shtavia Moore’s 20 points.

“I think we can go down to Choctaw County and have some success and hopefully still get to Montgomery and see how we do from there,” Williams said.
