Morgan Academy freshman Gus Colvin won the Alabama Junior Golf Association’s Tournament Saturday at Ol’ Colony Golf Course in Tuscaloosa.

Colvin won the 14-and-15 year-old division after shooting a 76. He also tied for the overall best score of the tournament with Northport’s Matthew Madden, who participated in the boys 16-19 age division.

Colvin made 14 pars and only four bogeys. He bogeyed one, 10, 17 and 18, but made par on every other hole.

Colvin won the 14-and-15 year-old age division by six shots over Hoover’s Payton Ahlemeyer, who shot a 10-over, 82.
